Inspired by Aretha Franklin’s rendition of Nina Simone’s song, I give you all Dear Black Girl’s Spring ‘22 collection: Young, Gifted, and Black.

This is our very first gender free collection where I made it a point to not just highlight Black girls and women, but to highlight those who are doing great things and for simply existing and identifying as Black people. The Young, Gifted, and Black collection was created for US to wear as an affirmation for ourselves. We are our most creative when we’re doing childlike things, gifted in all that we have to offer this world even though it gives us very little back, and through every new collection that is released by DBG I vow to honor those who are present now- whether they’re teaching, modeling, scouting/ recruiting, fellow entrepreneurs and students. I have a ton more to say but I’ll end it here.
